Waterlogged?

By guest blogger Patsy Stanley

Waterlogged?

So you are depressed in Seattle, or Pacific Northwest? Especially in the winter? Seattle is loaded with water. It's in the air and surrounding area, while the sun isn’t to be found during winter. Many people think they are depressed, but what may actually be happening is they have become waterlogged. Water is a great conductor of energy and as such is very magnetic. Too much magnetism leaves you waterlogged.

Some of the things water does for you is to protect you by insulating you, while at the same time giving you a tendency to fuse to everything around you. It's how water energy works. On the right hand, you feel insular, distant, and opinionated, maybe even cranky. On the left hand, you feel like you are living it for real in the “Just A Dreamer” kind of world Ozzy Osborne talks about in his song of the same name. It can feel like you are living in a bog, or "bogged down", and you kind of are.

If you mature, or grow, psychologically, or spiritually, and don’t connect with others, you can become an isolate or hermit archetype. You need the electro-magnetic connection of a community to express wisdom found from going inward – express wisdom, give it away, and move on-for betterment of you and all in community.

Maybe you aren’t depressed; maybe you just need to dry out! If you can’t take a trip to a dryer climate to wring out some excess moisture from your system, then try taping up large and small colored pictures of the sun around the house. The pictures need to be done on white rectangular paper, (not on squares or other shapes) and the complete circle of the sun. It's rays, if you choose to put them in, should be contained on the paper to be most effective. Also you can use green cactus standing in a desert. One of the energy things desert cactus does, is to raise the energy by pointing upward. This is symbolic of the world axis pointing up to a masculine sky god. You are looking for ways to bring in masculine or electric energy to balance the effects of waterlogging. It can help “elevate” your moods. We have lots of moods stalking Seattle. I used to live there, I know. Another way to bring dryness back into your waterlogged world is to place multi-colored holiday lights up around the ceiling, or wherever you feel led to place them. You can also wear simple clothes that have nice, medium color to them, pinks, purples, oranges, but not complicated patterns. Those just keep you in your head.

So begin to notice that there is a big difference between “moods”, various kinds of depressions, introspection, brooding, deliberating, ruminating, you get the idea. Don’t stick it all under one umbrella word. Separate it out and learn about yourself and enjoy what a pleasant surprise you are in the world.
